My name is Dylan Kayotak and I am from Igloolik Nunavut. Right now I am in Summerside PEI, and the scenery is really beautiful. There’re quite lots of farms, red sand beaches, windmills, and quite active people around. Things I have done are walk through the boardwalk, drive around the town of Summerside and the coast with my host family, and gone to the park. I am looking forward to going to some concerts, to the arena to watch some baseball games, to the east coast of the province, and going kayaking.

My host family are Deborah Mitton and Harry Spence. My work placement is Active Living with the City of Summerside that’s at the Dome, and what I learned there is that the elderly are quite active. I also learned that Noah Dobson was born and raised in Summerside and he plays for the Montreal Canadians, and that some old aircraft are parked near the town of Summerside.

New things that I have tried are walking from a long distance to work and I am really liking to it, different kinds of fish that I have never tried, being at a farm and eating there. Things I found out interesting are that there are lots of stores/malls to look around and buying things that are supposed to be expensive but costed less than I expected.
